Whilst in the morning, when my 6-year-old son was refraining to eat on his own, I sternly told him- “Ayaansh you are big boy and you should be independently doing your work. “
Baffled, he stared at me and then followed his trials to finish his breakfast! “The Big Boy” trick did work.
Later in the evening, while I was working on my laptop, my son turned up again and told me that since he is a “Big Boy”, he wanted a laptop to do his “office work”.
Reduced to a perfect nonplus, I chucked at his wit and told him that he is still a “Small Boy” for doing office work.

This happens quite a few times in office set up as well. One moment our boss/manager asks us to be independent and start taking the charge; the other moment, he/she turns the table and questions our judgement.
And most of us, including me, do whine a lot on this, until time wipes off the memories.
But have we thought- There could be another angle to this eccentricity as well just like the above incidence!
